Raising the Bar on Building Safety: Anamore’s Response to recent BSR Findings

As the UK’s building safety landscape continues to evolve, recent data from the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) paints a sobering picture of the challenges facing duty holders and developers alike. At Anamore, we believe these challenges present an opportunity – not just to remediate buildings, but to redefine standards of compliance, safety, and trust.

BSR Data on Building Assessment Certificates (BACs) – July 2025

The latest figures reveal a system under pressure:

  • Total BAC submissions: 1,454
  • Assessments completed: 170
  • BACs denied: 125 – a staggering 74% rejection rate
  • Average review time: 123 hours per submission
  • Review fees: £8,000–£20,000

Key feedback trends from BSR reviewers include:

  • Report lengths ranged from 2.5 to 732 pages – with the optimal range being 30–40 pages
  • Many duty holders demonstrated limited understanding of structural safety, focusing almost exclusively on fire safety
  • Some reports ignored structural failure risks entirely
  • Several assumed that a Fire Risk Assessment under the Fire Safety Order was sufficient—BSR strongly disagrees

These findings underscore a critical gap in technical knowledge and regulatory alignment. At Anamore, our end-to-end remediation service is designed to close that gap. We combine deep expertise in fire and structural safety with a proven ability to produce comprehensive, regulation-ready reports – all backed by £10 million in Professional Indemnity Insurance.

We don’t just fix buildings. We help clients navigate regulatory hurdles with precision, credibility, and confidence.
