SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee multiple projects from successful bid wins to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. Your expertise in construction and engineering principles, building defect diagnosis, regulatory compliance, and sustainability practices will be crucial in delivering exceptional remediation projects.

Key duties /accountabilities:

  • Project Delivery: Competently manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Building Defect Diagnosis: Understand common building defects, their causes, and appropriate remediation techniques.
  • Construction and Engineering Principles: Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles specific to remediation work.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Be familiar with The Golden Thread, relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, including health and safety requirements.
  • Contracts: Have a clear understanding of JCT Design and Build contracts and their obligations.
  • Sustainability Practices: Apply knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials in remediation work.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Create detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for successful completion of remediation projects.
  • Tender Documentation: Account for project specifications, employer requirements, technical documents, drawings, and project start dates as submitted in tender documents.
  • Risk Management: Proficiently identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with building defect remediation projects.
  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and financial control.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently manage resources to optimise project performance.
  • Project Management Software: Use project management tools
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM)/Autocad: Familiar with BIM and Autocad software.
  • Safety Protocols: Deeply understand and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans for on-site incidents.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in Project Management.
  • Extensive experience in construction methods, materials, and engineering principles specific to remediation work in residential settings.
  • Experience working with JCT Design and Build contracts and understanding their obligations
  • Be able to work in a team environment.
  • Have a sound knowledge of current building control regulations that affect building remediation works in the UK & Ireland
  • Remain up to date with current safety codes and changes in construction legislation in the UK & Ireland
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials used in remediation projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and IT skills
  • Build and maintain existing and new relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors and consultants.
  • Have attention to detail and be organised.
  • Be prepared to travel to visit projects.

Nice to Have:

  • A Master’s degree in a related field can be an advantage.

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Site Managers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of building defects, construction methods, and engineering principles relevant to defect remediation. They will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining rigorous quality control, and efficiently managing project plans, budgets, and resources.

Key duties /accountabilities:

  • Building Defect Knowledge: Identify and remediate common building defects, understanding their causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Construction Methods and Materials: Apply expertise in both contemporary and traditional construction methods, materials, and technologies.
  • Engineering Principles: Utilise a strong grasp of structural engineering principles for effective defect remediation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant building codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet the required standards.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Manage project plans, timelines, and schedules as directed by the project manager.
  • Budget Management: Ensure competitive and efficient management of material, plant, and labour costs.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and management of labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Health and Safety Management: Apply comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and implement Anamore HSEQ systems.
  • Site Safety Supervision: Oversee site safety, conduct risk assessments, and implement necessary safety measures.
  • Incident Response: Manage site incidents or emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Project Management Programs: Proficiently read, understand, and deliver project programs on-site.
  • Construction Management Tools: Utilise construction management software (e.g., Procore, InnDex) effectively.
  • CAD Software: Possess a basic understanding for reviewing design plans and drawings.

The Person:

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
  • Adaptability: Display flexibility in adapting to changing project requirements and conditions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build and maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate a strong work ethic by being the first on-site and the last off-site each day.
  • Negotiation Skills: Achieve favourable outcomes with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors, to achieve project goals.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, stakeholders, residents, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively address site issues and unforeseen challenges with practical solutions.
  • Honesty: Maintain transparency and truthfulness in all dealings.
  • Responsibility: Take full accountability for the success of the project and address any issues that arise.
  • Flexibility: Adjust to changing project requirements or unexpected challenges with ease.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building defects, and engineering principles.
  • Experience with construction management tools and software.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, health, and safety standards.
