Mica Remediation Completed on Letterkenny Family Home
Anamore has successfully completed a full mica remediation project on a residential property in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, restoring a family home affected by defective concrete blocks and providing long-awaited peace of mind to the homeowner.
The issue, first discovered in 2009, led to more than a decade of uncertainty for homeowner Sheila, who described the experience as deeply stressful.
“You hear so many stories, and it’s hard not to worry when it’s your own home on the line. There was so much unknown.”
Once Anamore became involved, the homeowner noted a clear shift in confidence and communication throughout the process.
“I quickly realised that no question was a silly one. The care and attention being given to my home was second to none.”
The remediation works required the family to vacate the property for approximately 16 weeks. During this time, extensive structural works were carried out to fully restore the home’s integrity.
Sheila praised the approach taken on site, highlighting the focus on quality and respect for the property as a home rather than just a project.
“They saw it as a person’s home – not just a project.”
Reflecting on her experience, she encourages other homeowners facing similar issues to seek help early.
“Don’t wait. Reaching out sooner would have saved me years of worry.”
At Anamore, we are committed to helping homeowners across Ireland navigate mica remediation with clarity, care, and technical expertise.
